the Pleased to Meet You Tour '08 @ The Tongue & Groove PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 22 January 2008

picture this, if you will: 3 soloists. 3 states. 1 territory & 1 politically correct, carbon neutral vehicle.

That’s right, in just under a month, the pleased to meet you tour, aka Jess Harlen, Simon Asquith and Travis Marke, will be saying goodbye to the on again-off again Melbourne summer, to come and say hi to the people of eastern Australia.

What’s so special about this tour? Well, not only will the tour showcase some impressively original new talent, but the artists are putting their money where there mouths are and making their tour vehicle, a 1995 Mitsubishi Magna, carbon neutral.

In doing this, the three are hoping to prove to themselves that real change – in contrast to mounting finger pointing, lyrical offensives – has to start with themselves and their hip pockets!

However, the combined music of these three has a lot more to do with the inner workings of the human experience, than it has to do with the politics of the day.

So an evening full of just the right combination of fun and feeling is headed your way. Come say hi to the guys at the show and check out: www.myspace.com/thepleasedtomeetyoutour08

The pleased to meet you tour '08 plays The Tongue & Groove, Sat. 1st March, 8pm.
