FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Young Acoustic Folk Trio, Yolande and the Sea, will be playing West Ends Tongue and Groove next Sunday the 10th of February.
Only just finished High School, the three school mates have dived straight into the Brisbane music scene. Following up on Yolande’s success in the 2007 Fretfest Find of the Year Competition, and the inaugural Brizband challenge at River stage in October, the band are ready to start gigging around Brisbane. After parting ways with their former guitarist, and welcoming the services of friend and cellist Haylee Suess, Steven Moloney (Drums) and Yolande Schefe (Guitar and Vocals) have finally cemented the lineup. Busy rehearsing and writing new material to release in an EP later this year, the band will be showcasing new material and a new member for the first time, next Sunday at Tongue and Groove in West End. Playing with local talent Claire Whiting and other Special Guests, the night will be a showcase of some of Brisbane’s finest Folk musicians.
Where: Tongue and Groove, 63 Hardgrave Rd, West End
When: 7pm
