The boys from1989 have sure had a busy start to 2008 with rehearsals, recording and gigs galore, as well as starting up their new website. You can check it out at www.1989.com.au . It’s still in its early stages but has been getting a good response so far…

After gigs at The Jubilee, Club Phoenix, Alley Bar, The Sundowner and a killer performance at The Moreton Bay Boat Club, 1989 ended January with a bang supporting The Screaming Jets at The Sands Tavern, Maroochydore on Thursday the 31st. This show was followed up on Friday night with a gig at Club 299 in the Valley where the boys put on, what was said to be one of their best performances.

February is shaping up to be just as hectic for the lads, finishing the album and playing their first international support slot with legendary UK band Budgie at The Tivoli on Saturday the 16th. Wollongong band Stone Ox and fellow Brisbane rockers Rollerball are also supporting so it’s gonna be one hell of a rock show!!!
