Boom with a VUE

Very Unique Existence, or V.U.E to some, are another one of those husky-voiced Australian rock bands that seem to do very well for themselves within a certain capacity. Though V.U.E have added somewhat of an original flavour to the well-worn genre of contemporary rock, I cannot see this debut effort garnering any outstanding praise for the simple fact that it isn’t groundbreaking material. Don’t get me wrong, they are not mediocre in the slightest, combining great musicianship with a natural ability for writing diverse hook-laden pop songs you can bop your head along to. It’s a solid set of songs; that much can be said and I can foresee a certain amount of national success on the cards for V.U.E; though I am unsure if they will be able to withstand critical review in comparison with many other upcoming contemporary rock bands that are experimenting with sound and content in Australia’s music scene today.
