The Potbelleez to headline the Malibu Sunset Social PDF Print E-mail

Australian dance act The Potbelleez will headline the 2008 Malibu Sunset Social, an honour that was last year held by Sneaky Sound System.


The Potbelleez have recently achieved national success with their single ‘Don’t Hold Back’ reaching number five on the ARIA Top 50 Singles chart and number three on the BigPond Download chart.


“We’re looking forward to putting on an awesome show at this year’s Malibu Sunset Social.  Last year’s Social rocked and we’re planning to top it,” said Dave and Jonny from The Potbelleez.


The Malibu Sunset Social will be held at the Boardwalk Tavern on the Gold Coast on Sunday 11 May 2008 with The Potbelleez to be supported by a host of acts including local talent The Stafford Brothers and Melburnian trio Dirty Laundry.


The Boardwalk Tavern Operations Manager Sam Stewart of said of the partnership, “We are very excited to have The Potbelleez and Dirty Laundry performing at the Malibu Sunset Social, it’s a perfect fit to celebrate an endless summer with Malibu.

James Slack General Manager of Marketing at Pernod Ricard Australia said of the announcement, “Malibu is pleased to be celebrating the spirit of summer by hosting the Malibu Sunset Social, and we‘re very excited to have The Potbelleez as the headline act.”


Tickets to the parties are limited and can only be secured by registering at www.malibusunsetsocial.com.au.  Entry is only open to residents of Queensland of legal drinking age.
