The festival that’s as much about ‘lifestyle’ as it is the ‘music’ – Splendour In the Grass – has nominated its first batch of acts for the event, again being held at the regular (if increasingly small locale) of Belongil Fields. While we may be booking accommodation a little closer to the border next year, this August 2 and 3 will see us hunkering down again at Byron Bay. Tickets ONLY hit www.qjump.com.au Thursday May 22, and cost $199+bf (more if you’d like to be green friendly) with camping costing $132+bf (unless you’ve already booked a place in town, which is something you should have organised already – ‘coz trust us, there isn’t a whole lot left!). Internationals include Devo, Sigur Ros, Vampire Weekend (pictured), Band Of Horses, and Lightspeed Champion, while locals include Wolfmother, The Presets, Ben Lee, Pnau, The Vines, and just about every band on the Dew Process/Secret Service roster. Good luck with the ticket scramble people!
