After much anticipation, May 2008 sees the band embark on their "ALL THAT IS LEFT TOUR 2008" to back their debut release. Melbourne’s industrial heavyweights Voltera will be co-headlining on all shows and provide the double knockout punch for Australia’s East Coast. The Queensland leg of the tour features support from FACE OF MUTINY (ex-CANDYPAIN) on their first run of shows ever! These shows are sure to reach capacity so get in early! The Tour hits QUEENSLAND THURSDAY MAY 22nd @The Fishermans Whark, Main Beach, GOLD COAST . Followed by Fri 23rd May - The Jubilee Hotel, Brisbane. Sat 24th May - The Sands Tavern, Maroochydore Our Last Enemy burst onto the Australian live scene in late 2006 impressing crowds along Australia’s east coast with their dynamic, intense & powerful performances. Their ability to captivate and engage an audience, combined with their intense blend of 'atmospheric industrial metal groove' has earned them a reputation as one of Sydney’s must see live acts. They have shared the stage with great Australian bands such as 5 Star Prison Cell, Lynchmada, Inane Eminence, One Shot Kill, The Crisis Therapy, Candy Pain & Kindred. The year passed has been a busy and challenging one for Sydney band Our Last Enemy with an impressive launch into the live scene playing with some of the country's finest followed by financial struggles, studio issues and a line-up change. Amidst the chaos, the band has produced '...Is Death', an EP which displays the dark and intense blend of genres the band wields. ‘..Is Death’ is the war cry of a band intent on taking on the local and international scene with full force. With the addition of new guitarist Jake (ex-Deprivation) earlier in the year, the attack is set to explode in 08! Sydney’s hot metal property is set to be your new favourite enemy! Voltera, a multi-faceted four piece established in the underground. Sophisticated, emotive and a distinct manipulator of the darker genres, drawing on their collective musical influences to create an eclectic twist on metal and industrial sounds, within an accurate environmental backdrop. In an industry dominated by men, the cliché is abandoned with instigator Jess assembling Voltera's diverse talent into a defiant armada against capitalist indulgence. A graduate from the vocally unconventional, Jess' vocal range is rampant and unique, extending from dark and melodic to an ardent guttural bawl, thus delivering a captivating live performance immersed in the avant-garde. Recently Voltera ventured to the USA to play the West Coast leg of the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, followed by shows in Phoenix and Portland. In addition, Voltera have been the support for international acts such as KMFDM, Genitorturers and Covenant, as well as headlining many of their own successful shows all over Australia. Voltera have two tracks featured on popular console games, "It beats for you" on the recently released Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, and "Do What Your Daddy Say" on Tony Hawk's Project 8. With aggressive political intention, Voltera focus much of their artistic energy towards overpopulation, the environment and organized religion. This is evident both lyrically and within the social activities of the band members. It becomes hard to classify something that constantly changes form, with the only formula being purpose. END All That Is Left Tour May 08 This May two of Australia's best alternative industrial metal acts team up to bring you the ALL THAT IS LEFT tour. Melbourne's Voltera and Sydney's Our Last Enemy are set to explode across the east coast for one of the year’s darkest and exciting tours. Face of Mutiny did not dissapoint last night at Brannigans even if the sound guy seemed to take his time setting things up. Voltera, awesome. The singer is hot. Our Last Enemy? I think they've been talked up enough already |
