“& Everything In Between” An exhibition of collaborations and collections by Tasmin Waterhouse and Lucks. OPENING FRIDAY, 23RD MAY 6-9 PM Art Factory, 84 Merrivale Street, South Brisbane Two Brisbane artists from the opposite sides of the tracks Wade “Lucks” Schaare (graffiti) and Tasmin Waterhouse (photography) open up their hearts and garage for a collaborative show. Drawing from the trash cans and treasure troves of Brisbane, these two artists endeavor to unsettle the dust in our lives and turn it into art. Influenced by tattoo art, graffiti, idol worship, pirates and wordplay, Lucks is a local artist to watch out for. His work often explores and utilizes recycled and found objects viewed with a unique humor, sarcastic sensitivity and charm. Tasmin Waterhouse captures her subjects with artistry and passion. Deriving pleasure from wasted and abandoned spaces her photography work often provides a new approach to the places and faces we might otherwise neglect. This exhibition of new collaborative + solo works from Lucks and Tasmin Waterhouse is destined to impress art, photography and graffiti lovers alike, especially if you seek to find something a little left of centre. Exhibition runs form Friday, 23rd May 2008 – 3rd June 2008 at Brisbane State High’s Art Factory on Merrivale Street. Opening hours 10am – 6pm Daily.
