Olmecha's all-star line-up is no joke. This five piece is fronted by Imon Starr, son of the legendary blues guitarist Taj Mahal.and features the vocal percussion of NZ's beatbox champion King Homeboy and the red hot flavour of Cuban reggaeton artist Jinetero Emcee.Starr describes the sound as 'afro futurist roots music' encompassing the past, present and future of genres born of Africa. Olmecha Supreme live delivers a dramatic and high energy performance of mesmerizing, live psychedelic dancehall, transforming even the shyest of people into dancing machines. Fusing the traditional Afro rhythms of roots, rock, reggae, hip hop, soul, funk and afro-beat, Olmecha takes the audience to a place of pure soul filled enjoyment.
