The first line-up for the Valley Fiesta has been announced. The three-day festival, which runs from Sept 12-14, is this year being run alongside Q Music’s Big Sound conference. The artists thus far are Operator Please (pictured), Sparkadia, Urthboy, DJ Dexter from The Avalanches, Jeff Lang, Blue Juice, Katy Steele, Avalon Drive, Winnie Coopers, The Gin Club and Texas Tea. All acts will obviously be hoping to catch the attention of the Big Sound delegates between showcases, but let’s hope the label executives aren’t turned off by the more unseemly elements of Brisbane nightlife beforehand.
